Risk
Two products, two different ways to lose something. This page states both without softening them. Read it before you spend anything.
Critical
The meme launchpad moves real funds
The launchpad is live on Robinhood Chain mainnet. A trade there is real, irreversible, and can lose everything you put in. Strategy surfaces accept no user funds.
The meme launchpad
A permissionless bonding curve priced in the chain's native ETH. Nobody is selecting these tokens for you.
- A trade cannot be undone
- Every buy and sell settles on Robinhood Chain. Once it is confirmed, nobody can reverse it, refund it or cancel it: not the creator, not us, not a support request. Send an amount you are prepared to lose entirely.
- Anyone can launch, nobody reviews
- The launchpad is permissionless. No person or process checks a token before it appears, so appearing here means nothing about the creator, the project or the intent behind it.
- Impersonation is easy
- A name, a ticker and an image can all be copied. A token that looks like a known brand, a person or another launch is usually exactly that: a copy. Check the token address, not the picture.
- Prices move violently, and can go to zero
- On a bonding curve every buy walks the price up and every sell walks it down, so the price you see is a function of what other people just did. Most tokens of this kind end near zero and there is no floor under them.
- Liquidity is locked forever after graduation
- When a curve reaches its target it seals and lists into a Uniswap v4 pool whose liquidity position is locked permanently. That cuts both ways: nobody can pull the pool out from under you, and nobody can rescue, migrate or unwind it either, including us.
- Part of the supply is sealed inside the curve
- At the deployed defaults 80 percent of a token's supply sits on the curve and 20 percent is reserved for the graduated pool. Reaching the target sells roughly 40 percent of the total supply; the roughly 40 percent that was never bought stays sealed in the curve forever, which is economically a burn. It is a structural consequence of the maths, not a promise about any particular token.
- Fees are taken on the way in and on the way out
- Every curve trade pays a fee the launch's creator chose, up to 10 percent (the live factory's ceiling); each token's own page states its rate before you trade. After graduation a swap in the pool pays the pool's own 0.3 percent fee plus a 2 percent protocol fee taken by the launch's fee hook, which is split between the token's creator and the platform. Those fees are on top of chain gas, and they are charged whether the trade turns out well or badly.
- The contracts are unaudited software
- The launchpad contracts have not had an independent external audit. They are tested, and tests are not proof: a bug in a contract, in this site, or in the way the two meet can lose funds with no way to get them back.
Chain and sequencer
These apply to everything on this site, because everything on it settles on the same chain.
- Chain and sequencer
- Robinhood Chain is a young L2 and its sequencer is centralized. If the sequencer halts, trading and NAV updates pause until it recovers.
- Settlement is not fully trustless yet
- L2Beat's review of Robinhood Chain names a limited challenger set, upgrades that can take effect with no delay, a centralized sequencer and transaction filtering, and does not classify the chain as Stage 0. A permissionless application layer on top does not make settlement trustless.
- Bridging and finality
- A transaction on Robinhood Chain is submitted, then confirmed on the chain, then secured on Ethereum. Those are three different states and the last one takes time; treating the first as final is how people get surprised.
The strategy product
Structural risks of the strategy marketplace, stated the same way they are stated on a strategy's own risk tab.
- Oracle
- Stock Token price feeds update 24/5. When a feed goes stale or pauses, trading in the affected assets halts and NAV is marked stale.
- Liquidity
- Thin order books reduce what a position is really worth on exit. Liquid NAV applies a depth-aware haircut to reported value.
- Manager
- Policy limits constrain what the manager can do, but they do not remove judgment risk. A manager can stay inside every limit and still lose money.
- Legal
- Real pooled capital, performance fees and transferable shares sit behind a legal gate whose sign-off is not yet on record. Strategy surfaces accept no user funds while that stands, and the meme launchpad is a separate product that does take real funds.
What actually protects you
- Spend an amount whose total loss would not change your life.
- Check the token address against a source you trust before you trade it.
- Read what your wallet is asking you to sign, every time.
- Never share a seed phrase, a private key or a wallet export file. We will never ask for one, in any channel, for any reason.
